julian and i were walking up a hill on his land the other day. we were both winded by the time we got to the top. and we wondered out loud how in the hell did we ever carry those packs??!!
toenail update - both my big toenails have come off and are growing back. one is growing back just fine, the other needs a little coaching from me. hopefully it won't be digging into my toe come bloomsday...
I'm definitely up for a hike. Finally got my own real pack and am gradually gearing up. Google "larkins lake" and you'll read some cool stories about the area Julian was headed towards! Me wants to go there!
oooh i found the coolest boy scout mess kit at an estate sale. fry pan, sauce pan, bowl, mug and lid all in one compact light config. with the green canvas carrying bag w/shoulder strap - about the size of a canteen. y'all will be very impressed...
